When I founded Roger & Co, I wanted to create a mortgage brokerage built around the kind of service I believe clients genuinely value — experienced advice, honest guidance, and a far more personal approach than is typically provided elsewhere.

Having worked in the mortgage industry for more than 23 years — across lenders, boutique brokerages, and larger firms — I’ve seen firsthand how mortgage applications are assessed, where cases can run into difficulty, and what lenders are really looking for. That experience allows us to identify potential issues early, structure applications carefully, and guide clients through the process as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

One of the biggest advantages of working with a broker is choice. Rather than being limited to a single bank’s products and criteria, we compare mortgages from over 90 lenders to find the most suitable and competitive solution for your circumstances — whether you’re buying your first home, remortgaging, investing, or navigating a more complex situation.

Over the years, many of our clients have come to us after being declined elsewhere or told their situation is too complicated. In many cases, we’ve been able to secure approvals where other routes have failed, simply through understanding how to present the case correctly and matching clients with the right lender.

I also believe communication and speed matter enormously in today’s market. We work proactively, keep clients informed throughout the process, and remain easily accessible by phone, WhatsApp, Zoom, email, or in person. We continue monitoring rates right up until completion and, if a better deal becomes available, we’ll move clients onto it wherever possible.

Most importantly, I never wanted Roger & Co to become a volume-driven business where clients feel like just another application. We intentionally manage a smaller number of cases so we can provide the level of service, attention, and responsiveness our clients deserve.

For me, mortgage advice has always been about building long-term relationships, giving clients confidence in important financial decisions, and helping them achieve the best possible outcome with expert support they can trust.
